Brooks Properties needed to expand their available parking at two of their locations in order to accommodate tenant needs, and solicited SFC’s professional assistance. The proposed layout encroached on required setbacks from wetlands and property lines.

SFC provided data collection (field survey), parking design and permitting applications to the Salem zoning board of adjustment and to the Salem planning board. They also provided wetland permit application services for the expanded parking area.

SFC was uniquely qualified to assist Brooks Properties with the design and permitting of additional parking facilities. Both sites were designed and constructed to maximize the parking layout within the dimensional setback restrictions of the local ordinance. This additional parking required variances to local ordinances and site plan approval from the planning board.

The additional design required a more robust storm drainage system, and the incorporation of additional best management practices.
