Description

SFC Engineering Partnership, Inc., (SFC) has provided civil engineering services to Brooks properties for over 20 years. SFC has worked with Brooks Properties on many office building projects, and continues provided them with professional services to this day.

SFC recently provided Brooks with design services for a 36,192 square foot, three story office building at 23 Keewaydin Drive in Salem, New Hampshire.

The project site contained several wetland areas all draining toward Porcupine Brook and its associated wetlands, a designated “prime” wetland by the Town of Salem, NH. Site design required the filling of a portion of the non-prime wetlands and the creation of a wetland mitigation/enhancement area. Quality was improved after construction as compared to the undeveloped condition where untreated water from Keewaydin Drive was directly entering the wetlands.

SFC worked closely with the Town of Salem and the owner to provide a 1.3 acre conservation easement to protect both the prime wetland and the adjacent uplands, as well as provide additional right-of-way for possible future extension of Keewaydin Drive.

SFC prepared the EPA required Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan for this project and filed the Notice of Intent on behalf of our client.
